About:
Looking for the eternal in the ephemeral, Landon photographs fine art projects and commercial and editorial commissions worldwide.
Landon’s first monograph, Out Of Fashion (Damiani, 2016), was one of Time’s photobooks of the year.
The New Yorker, New York Magazine, Time, The New York Times, National Geographic Magazine, W, Vanity Fair, and Vogue, have all commissioned his work. In addition, Landon loves to collaborate with brands such as Delta, IBM, Rag & Bone, The Standard Hotels, Apple, Instagram, Michael Kors, Proenza Schouler and The Oscars to make pictures to show the world.
The following organizations have commended his work: Communication Arts, American Photography, Pictures of the Year International, The Year In Pictures, PDN’s 30, Review Santa Fe, The Center for Documentary Studies, and even The James Beard Foundation. Yes, Landon is a James Beard Award winner—not for his cooking—for Visual Storytelling!
His fine art photographs are in the permanent collections of the Museum of Fine Arts Houston and The Columbus Museum of Art, and have been exhibited and collected worldwide.
Landon lives in NYC with his wife and three sons, and teaches at the International Center of Photography. If he’s not photographing he might be found adding ice to a cocktail—or at an ice rink—but not at the same time.
Fine art photographic prints are available at the following galleries:
Voltz Clarke (NYC) Simon Breitbard (San Francisco) Spalding Nix (Atlanta)
